Cool-Start Option
On vehicles with a belt driven generator, the voltage needed for the electrical driven refrigerator is generated when the truck is running.
However, there is one problem when the vehicle has to be parked for a longer period of time. Voltage can not be generated to let the refrigerating system do its job. As a solution for this problem, the Cool-Start option was developed.
The Cool-Start option makes it possible that on command of the refrigerating system, in a controlled manner, the vehicle engine can be started. When the engine is running, the cargo hold can be refrigerated further. When the desired temperature is reached, the engine will be shut down and the system will be on stand-by for the next request from the refrigerating system. This way when the vehicle is parked, without intervention from the driver, the temperature can be held stable in the cargo hold.
